Gen 2 Belt Grinder (main page)

Versatile, sturdy, and surprisingly easy to build. Learn all about the Belt Grinder, and what makes Gen 2 better than Gen 1. Learn more

Platen Attachment

A simple flat platen that is extraordinarily sturdy and easy to make. Learn more

Small Wheel Attachment

A sturdy and minimal attachment for grinding internal radiuses and flutes. Compatible with standardized, interchangeable small wheels from 3/8″ to 2″ diameters. Learn more

Contact Wheel Attachment

The most efficient and smoothest way to grind, and great for hollow-grinding knife blades. Compatible with 6″ to 10″ contact wheels, which can be easily switched out. Learn more

Table Holder

One of my favorite features of the Belt Grinder, the Table Holder mounts in the stationary (non-tilting) base frame tube, and allows you to independently adjust the vertical position, horizontal position, and angle of the interchangeable Tables. Learn more

Adjustable Angle Table

A simple flat table that can be tilted from 90 to 45°. Learn more

Fixed Table

This table is welded solid at 90°, so it can never get knocked out of alignment. It’s notched to fit around the belt in vertical mode. Learn more

XY Table

This ultra-precise table has linear bearings for smooth side-to-side motion, and has an infeed stage that provides repeatable, precise front-to-back motion. When used with the Magnetic Chuck, it turns your Belt Grinder into a surface grinder. When used with the Hold-down Clamps, it enables you to grind flat faces on anything, including odd-shaped, large, or tiny workpieces. Learn more

Magnetic Chuck

For use with the XY Table, this simple, always-on Mag Chuck allows you to grind parallel faces (and tapers) on any part that can stick to a magnet. Learn more

Hold-down Clamps

These clamps let you secure odd-shaped, large, or tiny workpieces to the XY Table. They can double as end-stops to limit the table’s motion. Learn more
