All of the tables for the Gen 2 Tilting Belt Grinder have a 1.5″/40mm square post on the bottom, that slips into a vertical tube in the table holder. This makes it possible to adjust the table’s vertical height without changing its angle or horizontal position, makes the tables indexable to four positions, and makes them easily interchangeable. And since the table holder holds the table in line with the grinder’s main hinge, the table will always be centered on the belt, whether it’s in vertical or horizontal mode.
Design highlights
Independent vertical adjustment
When the grinder is tilted to its horizontal mode, it’s important to occasionally adjust where the workpiece contacts the belt, so the abrasive surface is worn evenly. The vertical post allows you to make this adjustment without losing your angle or horizontal position.
Uses simple, interchangeable, indexable tables
The simplest tables are just a plate welded to the end of a square tube. This means you can easily construct custom tables & jigs for your specific job. And since you don’t need to worry about losing your angle setting when you remove a table, you can quickly switch back & forth between different tables. The tables are also indexable, so you can rotate them to any of four positions depending on the task at hand. Learn more about the Fixed Table or the Adjustable Angle Table
Tunable angle
The vertical tube is bolted to the frame through oversized holes, so you can tune the angle to make the table perfectly square to the platen and rest of the machine.
Incredibly rigid and strong
The tool arm is made from 1.5″/40mm solid steel bar, the frame is fully welded, and the table holder tube is bolted securely with four bolts, so it won’t vibrate, flex, or chatter under load, and won’t get knocked out of alignment.
