This belt grinder design has been superseded by the new Gen 2 Tilting Belt Grinder, but I’m leaving all of the old pages up on my site for those who have built the old design. The Gen 2 attachments are not backward compatible with the Gen 1 grinder, so if you have Gen 1 you can download the plans for compatible attachments below. These plans are only available in inches.

Plans for the Gen 1 Tilting Belt Grinder, Platen Attachment, and Table Holder are no longer available on my website, since I don’t want people to get the obsolete ones by accident. But you can contact me if you need the old ones for some reason.

This stand with drawers is designed to be about the right height to hold the Gen 1 grinder at a comfortable working position, and has a notched back corner to provide clearance for the motor. There are no PDF plans for this since very few people were interested in it, but there is a Sketchup model below, and a very detailed build video.

This jig never worked to my satisfaction, so I never made plans for it. But if you want to build it anyway, there is a Sketchup model available below. The jig should work fine on Gen 1 or Gen 2, although it won’t be centered on the belt on Gen 2.
